“For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” Romans 1:16-17

See God’s heart.

  • Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
  • Mark 1:17 “Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!”

Know it for yourself.

  • Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
  • Philemon 1:6 “And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.”

Live it out.

  • Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
  • Acts 4:29-31 “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonder be done through the name of your hold servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting places shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.”

Your story started when you gave your life to Jesus. He is the ultimate author of your life. He is the perfecter and finisher of the faith that He placed inside of you. Your faith is transferable when you share your story. Sharing your story is not based on your intellect, but based on your heart that has been changed. You are not the same person that you used to be. Sharing your story acknowledges what your life was like before you met Christ, how He has changed your life and what He is doing through you today.

God’s miraculous power will be revealed through your life as to others. His word and His miraculous power go hand in hand. His Holy Spirit will give you the boldness to share your faith with power.

God’s Holy Spirit will speak through you and give you the right words to impact other people’s hearts. Faith comes alive in other people’s hearts when God’s word and the operation of His miracle-working power manifests in the human heart. No other religion can take away a person’s shame. Jesus not only paid for your sins, but also paid for your story to be shameless. Paul from the bible makes a bold statement: He says, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ who is the anointed one. For it is the power of God unto salvation.” Paul knew that in the proclamation of the gospel was the ability to change and transform a heart to take away their shame. He went on to say that in the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed; meaning right standing with God is revealed through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Your story is like no other story. But it becomes effective when you share it. Don’t let fear talk you out of sharing your story. When we withhold our story, we rob others of the potential blessing that could come to them through your story of how Jesus has changed your life. When you acknowledge what God has done in your life and you communicate it with other people, it changes the course of history.

See God’s heart.

Read Jeremiah 29:11. In your own words, what is God saying about the plans that He has for your life?

Know it for yourself.

In 500 words or less, write about the following questions:

  1. What was your life like before you met Jesus?
  2. Describe what took place in your heart when you met Jesus?
  3. What is God doing in you and through you now?

Live it out.

Now that you have identified your story, look for people to share it with. You can start today!

Some of you are going to be so fired up that you want to tell everyone about Jesus. If this is the case, start a “Compassion To Action” group where you are on your way together, sharing your stories about what Jesus has done. This is a great opportunity to share the app with people who have been impacted by your story, who want Jesus to rewrite theirs. You are now a leader. Encourage them to keep things simple: To learn, to do and to teach.

Remember, We are so proud of you and we are praying for you. Just as you believe in Jesus, He believes in you.
